About Our Families -Davis and Daniels
Putting this family information together has been a labor of love and fun.
I have been given assistance from so many family members that I cannot list
them all-but here are a few special people:
Shirley Tackett(Andersons+) Jim White(Rowseys) JoAnne Helton (Rowseys)
Omega Cole(Andersons) Maria Davis-Johnson (Davis) and the Seventh Day Baptist
Church in Salem, Wv. Zandra Michel (McComas)

My side of this grouping are basically from Glamorshire,Wales & Scotland--I am
told a few American Indians(I haven`t traced yet) and I am sure, a scattered
pot of different countries.
My late Dad-Hayward Davis was born and raised in Salem, Wv-going to both the
Seventh Day Baptist CHurch(Adventist) on Saturday with his Dad and then to the
Salem Baptist Church on Sunday with his Mom. Needless to say(and I am sure I`m
prejudice) he turned out to be one heck of a guy. He was a Navy Veteran of 8+
years, his last Commision was on the USS VALLEY FORGE. His last employment was
as an electrician for Ford`s Motor company for 20 years until he had a stroke
that put him in a wheelchair until he passed in 2000.
Mom is a Rowsey-and Uncle Ernie says they are Rebel Rowsey`s. I think he
really means rousers. 17 kids and a brick maker father-wow, that must have
been some homelife. Grandma Anna Ball was 5ft of fury--when her temper
was `roused`.
My husband`s side of the tree is mostly Irish(again that melting pot I am sure
is involved here too). It has been rumored that Pocahontas is in this family
tree somewhere-as is Jenny WIley.
Being from Kentucky-most of the family were Coal miners (some still are!)
Arnollis Sr(Dad) was killed in a mine at a young age. Jim and his brothers all
left the area-one reason--they were not going to work the mines. Some of the
memebers of this line have `colorful` stories. Some were just down right onrey.
(Bad John Hall). Interesting reading if you have time.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthday and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
